This 12"x12" piece is part of my contemporary affirmation abstract series. I was inspired to create this series as a result of my own personal path. In the past I've committed to words and affirmations as a way to kick off the New Year. For instance, one year I picked the word "release" and every time I found myself stuck or in a stressful situation, I would remember that word and think about it. That year was really powerful for me and I learned the power of affirmations.
As I entered 2022, I felt burned out and started to reflect on the kinds of changes that needed to take place in my life. I remembered my old practice of committing to affirmations and really was inspired to create pieces that would help me express the images and intent of what I wanted to affirm.
The firework motif in this piece I find really empowering and bold. It feels very energetic and is perfect for the collector who is looking to attract more positive energy in their life.

This piece was created with acrylic and collage. It will be varnished with a gloss varnish upon completion and comes in the black frame pictured here (note that glass is not displayed on top for picture purposes, but there will be a glass cover over the painting). The frame is ready to hang.
